Two for the Price of One

Just a couple items today...

I am the happy owner of a beautiful quilt centerpiece from Dru Ann L Love.  MEGA THANKS, DRU.  If you follow Dru's blog,  Notes From Me, you've seen her work and know why I'm so pleased.  If you don't follow Dru's should.

The hottest contest of the summer is going on at Fiction GroupieIt's Roni & Julie's Totally Epic Summer Contest!  If you like writing or reading, you'd be a fool not to check out this one.

Oh, and a follow up to yesterday's blog...the crisis is over and we're in full clean up mode.

I'm currently enjoying:  Going to the bookstore this morning to pick up Heather Webber's latest - Deeply, Desperately.

Quote of the day:  Substitute "damn" every time you're inclined to write "very;" your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be. ~ Mark Twain

Linda, I hope you enjoy the quilt. If you use it, let me see a picture.

Definitely using it. I'll try to get a picture to you this week. Thanks, again.

I was so sorry to hear about your basement. Yuck!

Did you lose very much? Or did you manage to move stuff in time?

PS Please do post a picture of your new quilt centerpiece when you get a chance.

Thanks, Maria. Biggest loss was the carpet in the rec room. Most everything else can be cleaned up and dried out. :-)

I will post the picture. Trying to juggle work, writing, basement cleanup, trips to re-hab to see my mother-in -law, plus I just got back from taking BOTH dogs to the vet. It's going to be a race to the finish to see if they die of old age before I go bankrupt from the vet bills!
