Mooku Challenge

Okay –we’ve got to have some fun while everyone’s off at RWA. So I offer up a Mooku Challenge!

What is Mooku, you ask? Well, it’s just Haiku…for cows.

Your challenge is to come up with a traditional Haiku poem (three lines: first line is five syllables, second is seven, third is five) that includes cows or dairy products.

I offer these three to get us started.

Milk sits in a glass
Its color is white as snow
Is there no Hershey’s?

I wait in the field
My udder is near bursting
Won’t someone milk me?

Old milk in the fridge
You sniff it uncertainly
But who will taste it?

Give it a try.

I’m still enjoying: Delicious and Suspicious by Riley Adams

Quote of the day: Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.

So here's my pathetic attempt keeping in the spirit of the blog - Hope RWA counts as 3 syllables. :)

Off at RWA
They are. Not me. So Crying
In my glass of milk

Well, we may be fudging a little on those RWA syllables but that a good mooku. (Who needs Orlando?)

I'm not brave enough to try this. Me & poems do not get along!

But at least I know what a Mooku is (as well as a Haiku).

Stacy - Well, this is as far as my poetry skills go. Thanks for stopping by.
